Noted horndog and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, 76, was found guilty of paying for sex from a 17-year-old at one of his famous “bunga bunga” parties and sentenced to seven years in prison. Although Karima El Mahroug  passed herself off as being 24, the Moroccan nightclub dancer nicknamed Ruby the Heart Stealer was definitely not over 18, the legal age to pay someone for sex in Italy.

Both Berlusconi and Mahroug have denied sexual relations with one another, but suspicions arose when Berlusconi made various calls to the police in May 2010 to have Mahroug released from prison after a theft charge. According to prosecutors, Berlusconi was scared that the police would find out that Mahroug had attended many of his sex parties. Originally he told had told Milan police that Mahroug was the granddaughter of Hosni Mubarak, the Egyptian leader, and urged that in order to avoid a diplomatic incident in Cairo, she needed to be released. More than 30 young women attended the “bunga bunga” parties he threw in the early 2000s, performing stripteases and “touching the intimate parts” of Berlusconi and allowing him to touch them in exchange for money, according to prosecutors.

In addition to his jail sentence, Berlusconi is banned from any public office forever. (He has two opportunities to appeal the verdict, though.) No word on whether he’s allowed to throw another “bunga bunga” party, though.
